Angry Birds Flying on Windows Phone in May

Joystiq is reporting that Microsoft announced today that the phenomenon that is Angry Birds will be hitting Windows Phone next month.  This is good for the few of you that have a Windows Phone and Its good a barometer to measure if developers think the platform is going anywhere. Apparently Rovio does.

Angry Birds has been on iPhone for some time and recently hit Android.  Downloads of the software recently passed 100,000,000.  It is also on the Intel Appup store and is probably the most downloaded game in the history of PSN.  No word yet on if it will be ad based and free (I think its assumed that it will be) and no word has been given on the Rio and Seasons spinoffs.  My assumption is that Seasons will and Rio will not, Rio being a movie tie in game.
